Frequently Asked Questions
Storage FAQs — Everything You Need to Know
Answers to the most common questions about our North Cornwall storage containers, booking, access, security and more.
Booking & Payments
How do I book a storage container?
You can book directly through our live online booking system. Choose your container size, pick a move-in date, and complete the booking in a few minutes. Payments are handled securely online.
How do I check current prices?
Our live online booking system shows current prices and availability. We do not publish fixed prices on the website because they change. Check current availability online.
Is there a minimum rental period?
There is no long-term commitment. You can store for as long as you need — some customers store for a few weeks, others for several years.
Can I change my container size after booking?
Contact us to discuss changing sizes. Subject to availability, we can usually arrange a move to a different container.
Sizes & Suitability
What size container do I need?
It depends on what you are storing. A small container (70 sq ft) is good for household overflow, tools and seasonal items. A 20ft container (160 sq ft) fits the contents of a 2–3 bed house. A 40ft container (320 sq ft) is for large volumes. See our full size guide.
What can I store in a container?
Household goods, furniture, boxes, business stock, tools, equipment, vehicles and most other items. You cannot store flammable, hazardous or corrosive materials, perishable goods or illegal items.
Are the containers weatherproof?
Yes. Our containers are welded all-steel construction with weather-sealed doors and marine plywood flooring. They are designed for secure, dry storage.
Can I store a vehicle in a container?
Small vehicles, motorbikes, garden machinery and similar items can be stored in larger containers. The 40ft container has a door opening wide enough for most vehicles. Contact us to discuss your needs.
Access & Security
When can I access my container?
Access hours are Monday to Saturday 7am–6pm and Sunday 8am–6pm. You can visit during these hours to load, unload or check your container.
Is the site secure?
The site is set back from the road in a quiet rural location near St Tudy. A padlock is included with your container — you hold the only keys. Nobody else can access your container without your permission.
Can I drive up to my container?
Yes. All containers have drive-up access. The site can accommodate cars, vans and trailers. Larger vehicles can usually be arranged — please call to check.
Where exactly is the site?
Hengar Lane, St Tudy, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL30 3PH. Just off the B3266 Bodmin–Camelford road. Around 15 minutes from Bodmin, Wadebridge and Camelford. Get directions.
Insurance & Prohibited Items
Do I need insurance for my stored goods?
Current insurance requirements are confirmed during the online booking journey and customer agreement. Make sure stored goods are properly covered, and contact us before booking if you are unsure. Read our general storage insurance guidance.
What items are not allowed in storage?
You cannot store flammable, hazardous or corrosive materials. Perishable goods (food that could attract pests), living creatures, and illegal items are also prohibited. If in doubt, ask us before booking.
